Introduction
At Wholistic Dentistry, we offer a comprehensive and personalised approach to assessing and managing TMJ-related concerns, headaches, facial pain, airway issues, and functional bite problems. Our SOMA consultations are designed to thoroughly evaluate your symptoms, understand your medical and dental background, and determine whether SOMA therapy is the most suitable treatment option for you. We provide both in-clinic and online consultation options to ensure accessibility and convenience for all patients.
In-Person Consultation
For patients attending the clinic, a comprehensive in-person consultation will be conducted. If applicable, a CBCT (3D X-ray) may be taken during this appointment to assist in assessing your jaw joints, bite, and airway function. This helps determine the most suitable treatment approach for your individual needs.
Zoom Consultation
If you are unable to attend the clinic in person, a Zoom consultation can be arranged. This option allows you to discuss your symptoms, concerns, and medical history directly with the clinician from the comfort of your home.
Please note that while initial assessments can be completed online, certain diagnostic imaging or physical examinations may still need to be arranged locally or during a future in-person visit.

Pre-SOMA Questionnaire
In addition to the medical history form, we will also require you to complete a Pre-SOMA Questionnaire.
These forms provide essential information about your overall health, sleep patterns, dental history, symptoms, and functional concerns. Completing them in advance allows the clinician to gain a thorough understanding of your situation and tailor the consultation and treatment recommendations to your specific needs and goals.
